A Thomas: Born on 1 Jun 1958 and graduated from St. Joseph's College, Bangalore. He started his career at the age of 21 in a private sector till 1993. From his childhood he had an urge to help all the less fortunate around him, neither known or unknown persons which led him to join a NGO called NSDF - National Slum Dwellers Federation/ SPARC, Mumbai and Bangalore from 1994 till date.

SHADE came into his life in the year 2006
Dr. Stephen had invited Mr Thomas and his staff to a program conducted by shade named "Darkness To Light" at St Joseph's School. NSDF provided three vehicles to bring the differently abled to the program. This program and all their services to the differently abled had greatly impressed Dr. A Thomas to work more closely with SHADE to serve the less fortunate.

As the time passed, Dr. Thomas and Dr. Stephen grew in strong bond of friendship and impressed by the service of Dr. Thomas, He was made the Administration director of SHADE by the founder Dr. Stephen. Together as one team SHADE started growing widely as a tree with different branches of serving the differently abled, the elderly and specially challenged.

Mr. Sudharshan Sach Mahadev is very good friend of mine We worked together for NSDF in Mumbai. He was incharage of Survey and Sadak chaap department.

He left the organization in the year 2008 started working with Mumbai Municipal authority and Mumbai Housing development Board.

In the year 2010 he came to Bangalore with his family for a short picnic trip. That was the time I told him about Dr. Stephen and shade.

When he met Dr. Stephen and Shade office he was very much impressed. When we had a detail discussion to bring forward shade to a good level. Shade was registered in the year 1998 and not renewed again.

Then Mr. Stephan decide to register again taking myself & Sudharshan also as directors. So in the year 2010 month of may Shade registered as a TRUST.

Lovely times of life will not return back but the lovely relation and missing memories of lovely people will stay forever in the heart Just like that Mr. Shakeel Ahmed is a wonderful and a lovely person.

I met this charismatic person in the year 2004 in a medical camp at kaval bysandre, Lal bahadur Shastri college conducted by Lions club. Mr. Shakeel Ahmed was the president of Lions club in the year 2004.

By profession Mr. Shakeel Ahmed is a very honest and dedicated Advocate. Mr. Shakeel Ahmed came along with me by walk to all the slums of Kavalbyrasandra. He was very impressed with SHADE's service and activities towards needy children's education & support to the differently abled. That was the period I was honored by lion's club as the best social worker.

We seeing his involvement in SHADE we requested him to be our Legal Advisor for SHADE Since then he was SHADE 's Legal Advisor and one of the remembering Patron.

His moral, financial support will ever remembered.

He has 34 years of work experience in Social Development Organization. Joined as a volunteer in Indian Leprosy Foundation in 1991 and served as CEO from 2010 in the rechristened organization called Indian Development Foundation till Oct. 2023.

He has Masters Degree in Commerce and Sociology from Mumbai University and Doctorate in village development work from OICUM, Colombo. During the over three decades of social service, he designed various health, education and development projects and scaled it up to national and international level.

He is connected to various schools and colleges in connection with social service work and designed several projects for schools and colleges. Widely travelled in India and abroad in connection with social projects promoting advocacy for the less privileged He is also the Member of various leading leprosy organizations viz., Bombay Leprosy Project, The Society for the Eradication of Leprosy, Hind Kusht Nivaran Sangh (Maharashtra) and Acworth Leprosy Hospital Research Rehabilitation and Education (ALH RRE) Society. He is member of the College Development Committees and IQAC in various colleges in Mumbai like Vivek College, Tolani College, Valia College, Rahul Tiwari College and Kapila Khandvala College of Education. Mentor to various students and also Guide for Ph.D. Students.
